Back

So I'm back. School was good, met the new starts, started Phase II. So excited for color! Also we start test outs from here on out. Starting next Saturday haha. I'm a little nervous, Haleigh is going to be my first one. I only need four, but they have to be a short, medium, and long hair cut and color, and then a mens cut and color. I really only need a short haired girl now. Or a girl willing to have her hair cut short. Soo that might take some searching. But I REALLY want to do a short A-line or Bob with side fringe. So maybe I'll just use craigs list or something. Or a medium A-line. I dunno. I want to have fun with it though. Haleigh's I'm probably just going to layer more and color it. Maybe highlights? I know she wants red, but I dunno if she wants more of a dark red like mine, or more of an Emily red. I know I can't touch Dani's color, so unfortunately I can't use her for a test out. I can still cut her hair once I'm on the floor though haha. And if she's willing to do something drastic I can say she's my model and she'll get it for free. But they won't believe it if its just a trim.
Anyways, I'm just really bored. Michaels at work until 7, Haleigh is just getting out of school, and Dani's at work. Bleh. I need to start putting Haleigh's present together. One is shipping to her house, the small dumb things I need to bag up. And there's just one more thing I want to get her, but I can't find it anywhere. Anyways, I'm done blogging. I'm bored and can't focus anymore.

You learn something new everyday.

Today I learned lots of new things. Stuff about my dad, and family in general. That my grandma actually DID divorce grandpa. Also that she got married at 17. But for some reason there's two things that keep sticking out. First off, my grandma bought her old house with grandpa in 1969 for..ready for it.. $14,000!!! I wish houses cost that much now!! That's just a little more than my car! What the hell?!
But secondly, and most importantly, I found out my grandma quit her job in 1992 to raise me. Because my parents couldn't do it. I can't think of good words to describe how I feel about that. Loved I guess. But now it makes sense why she was also closer to me than my sister. She literally raised me. Not just helped my parents by watching me, no, she RAISED me. And then my parents were like "hey we're going to Phoenix, say bye to the child you've been taking care of for the past 5 years" I can't imagine how much that crushed her. Now that I'm writing this out, it makes me think of in Desperate Housewives when Danielle takes her kid away from Bree. (I clearly need to finish the seasons, I keep referencing them today)
Anyways, tomorrow I'm going to church with Grandma, then going to a Dallas Stars store where I can blow tons of money on Stars stuff :D Soo much stuff I want! I'm still debating whether to get the Ott jersey though. I just can't decide. It's so expensive, but now that Turco isn't a Star anymore, I feel like I should have at least one current team member (although Turco will ALWAYS be my favorite even though he's on the Blackhawks now. Modano is going to take some time.. I really don't like the Red Wings)
anyways, I'm tired and going to bed. Night!

There's a seat for you at the rodeo

Today will be a good day. Despite having school and work, I won't let today end up like yesterday. Yesterday was just not very good. I woke up feeling unhappy, had a nervous breakdown at school and had to leave early, then on top of all of it, I never got to see Dani for her birthday :( I feel really bad about that. She's going camping today, or at least their leaving today. Camping is definitely not my thing, but I hope she and Michael have fun :)
Also, I got my plane tickets for Texas yesterday :D I'm so excited. I'm only going for 4 days, but at least I'm going. I'm so excited to see Grandma. :) I forget how strong she is for being 80 years old. She even said to me yesterday "This is affecting you more than it is me" Which as it is seems to be true. So today I'm just going to breathe. I need to relax.
I'm also moving to Michaels today, so that is sure to be a pain in the ass, but oh well. I can deal. Anyways, I'm going to go finish getting ready.

Getting soo excited.

For hockey!! I just changed my background on my laptop to a stars desktop, I found this really cute computer theme, but it was $20 D: No thanks.

Also, I haven't really updated in a while. School is going fantastic, I'm doing suppperrrr well on all the haircuts, no struggles at all. I'm ready to start color :) Work actually gave me two days this week (shocker!) so at least I'm sort of working. Still looking for a job though :/

Today was Becca's birthday, ate Outback, came home, ate cake. Fun stuff. I finished reading the last book of The Hunger Games, which was good. The second one is still my favorite by far though. Also, had my last extravaganza with Windsor, only bought about $70 worth of stuff, but I love everything I bought. I'll post pictures later. Tomorrow is red white and blue day. So I'll be wearing jeggings, a white V neck, and some red lipstick. :) I'll probably style myself sort of pin-up-y. I'll get pictures :) I don't think a ton has happened other than that really. So I don't really have all that much to say right now.

Lots to update.

First off, I'm quitting my job. For realz now. I'm not "just thinking about it" or "just considering it" I'm quitting. Windsor is starting to screw me over hour-wise (I only work one day this week!!) and now is the time I really need hours. I mean really, I'm available four days, all of which I'm available for long shifts, but nooo. No hours for me. I started looking for jobs yesterday, which got me four applications, three of which are online. Filled all those out, I'll turn in the Toni and Guy one when I have a chance to leave school early for their open interviews.
School is going fantastic, I was the only one to finish a pain-in-the-ass cut on Saturday. I also don't have school tomorrow, so I'm going to look for more jobs, fill out more applications, and so on. Last week my entire school was on their periods. Everyone was crying. Like 4 girls in my class cried at some point during the week (one cried twice) and some of the other students have just gone outside and started crying. What is wrong with everyone!? It was a long week, but it wasn't THAT upsetting!
Anyways, I have work in 40 minutes, so I should probably go finish getting ready. I'll update hopefully sometime soon. I've been pretty lazy about it though. Not as lazy as you two though!! Every day I check the site seeing if you two have updated but nope. No such luck. haha

Anyways, this is going to be a short blog, I have school soon. So basically Dani's sick, Haleigh's sick, people in my dance classes are sick, and my entire school is sick. Take a wild guess who's next. Funn stuff in store for me.
So schools going well, I have two dance auditions, one of which (the pointe one) is tonight. (Nervous!) I love my dance classes, other than the fact that one is huge. Yesterday in the class before us, a girl got kicked in the face when they were doing cart wheels (sound familiar Dani?) and her front two teeth got knocked out. D: One was like dangling from a thread. It was so gross. The girl who accidentally kicked her felt terrible, and looked like she was going to pass out. :/ I'd feel bad too though. In fact, I did feel bad when I did something similar. haha I still feel kind of bad about it.
Anyways, time for school.
